Payment options:
We offer you the option of making one payment through your servicing bill, or by 12 monthly direct debit payments. Monthly direct debit options are as follows:

  • Bord Gáis Energy customer: 10% deposit required + €82.43 per month
  • Non Customer: 20% deposit required + €73.27 per month

Many areas in Ireland are affected by hard water. Water that contains a significant amount of calcium and magnesium is called hard water. Hard water is known to clog pipes and reduce effectiveness of appliances. Some of the problems caused by hard water include:

  • Clothes washed in hard water can often look damaged and feel harsh to touch
  • Hard water requires the use of more detergents when cleaning clothes
  • Hard water can cause limescale in your central heating pipes and result in them operating less effectively
  • Hard water can cause damage, marks and film appearing on your dishes
  • A build up of limescale in your system can lead to noisy radiators

    The appliance will require very little maintenance besides filling with salt occasionally.

Initially we are launching a Water Softening product in the greater Dublin and Cork City area and we plan to make it available throughout the country in the near future.

Using our team of service engineers to install a Water Softening appliance will lead to:

  • Your boiler and central heating system operating more effectively.
  • Extended life of your domestic appliances including your dishwasher and washing machine.
  • Less damage to clothes during washing cycle.
  • Less marking on dishes during washing cycle.

The cost for installing a Water Softening appliance is €1,099 including VAT and covers a home with up to 8 people. Homes larger than this will be quoted on an individual basis.
