The energy to break through

The 2011 Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling U-21 All-Ireland Championship is back and is already throwing up shocks, surprises and superb hurling!

In Leinster, Wexford trumped the much fancied Cats to set up a rematch with the 2010 Leinster Champions, Dublin. The Dubs will be hoping to go one better this year having bowed out at the All-Ireland Semi-Final stage to Galway last year. However, first up is Wexford in the Leinster Final on the 13th July.

It is all still to play for in Ulster and in Munster with both semi-finals still to be played - but reigning Munster and All-Ireland Champions Tipperary have already negotiated one tricky hurdle in disposing of the Déise in the quarter-finals.

So all to play for over the coming weeks and months in the last real "knock out" competition left in Championship Hurling.
