Bord Gáis Energy is delighted to announce a 12% reduction in its gas prices to residential and SME customers. This is as a result of falls in wholesale gas prices and follows an agreement with the CER and the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to pass on the benefit of these reduced costs to customers on an interim basis prior to a full review in the autumn.

On electricity prices, Bord Gáis Energy can confirm that its price promise will guarantee savings of 10% to 14% off the new ESB rates. Electricity customers who switch, or have already switched, to Bord Gáis Energy will automatically benefit from these new lower rates, equivalent to 20%-24% off current ESB rates. In the two weeks since the launch of The Big Switch campaign, almost 50,000 electricity customers throughout the country have made the switch to Bord Gáis Energy.
