What is included in the Local Heroes 10 Year Boiler Warranty?

Once your boiler is installed by Local Heroes and paid in full, your 10 Year Boiler Warranty will start. 

During the first twelve months of the warranty, should you have any issues with your boiler please email Local Heroes at support@localheroes.ie.  

After the first twelve months, Bord Gáis Energy will be responsible for the remaining 9 years of warranty. To report a boiler breakdown, please sign in to your online account, select your Services account, and under the Bookings tab, book a repair. All you need to provide is your phone number and a brief description of what's wrong with your boiler. Alternatively, you can call us on  01 611 01 45.

Your warranty also includes a free boiler service in the first year. After the first year, your boiler services will be chargeable. 

We’ll let you know what the charge is in your annual service reminder. To book your annual boiler service, sign in to your online account, and select your Services account. If your boiler needs to be serviced, you’ll see a note confirming “Annual Boiler Service needed” and a link to book your service.

To keep your warranty active, you will need to:  

  • Have your boiler serviced by Bord Gáis Energy every year for the duration of the 10-year warranty. Don’t worry - we’ll send you an annual reminder that your boiler is due to be serviced. 
  • Make sure you contact Bord Gáis Energy directly for services or repairs if your boiler breaks down after the first twelve months. If any other tradesperson services or repairs your boiler during the warranty period, without the agreement of Bord Gáis Energy, your warranty will no longer be valid.  
  • Ensure any boiler related payments are up to date.
