Annual Shine a Light Night returns for 2020 with appeal to businesses and the general public to get involved
This year’s Shine A Light Night initiative is calling on people all over the country to sleep out for one night and raise funds to help Focus Ireland’s vital services. As a result of the Covid-19 impact on communities across Ireland, people experiencing homelessness are more vulnerable than ever before. With 8,876 people currently without a home in Ireland, Bord Gáis Energy is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Focus Ireland, to sponsor its annual fundraising initiative – Shine A Light Night.

Mr Kirwan returns to Ireland having completed a successful term as managing director of the UK Home business at Centrica.
After two years leading the company, managing director Catherine O'Kelly will, after her impending maternity leave, take up a UK-based leadership role at global energy company Centrica, the parent company of Bord Gáis Energy.
The company has appointed Dave Kirwan to lead Bord Gáis Energy in the next phase of development. Having previously held this role, Mr Kirwan returns to Ireland having completed a successful term as managing director of the UK Home business at Centrica.
