Three new members join BGE leadership team

Bord Gáis Energy has welcomed three new members to its executive management team with the appointment of Susan Whyte as Director of Customer Operations, Steve Martin as Technology Director and Angela Hoey as HR Director. 

As the Director of Customer Operations, Susan Whyte is responsible for all operational delivery areas including sales and customer service operations, billing, credit and contact centre management.  In her new role, she will lead the customer experience and operational excellence programmes in Bord Gáis Energy. Susan has over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry and has a proven track record of delivering change and building successful teams. Susan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.

Steve Martin takes on the role of Technology Director, where he will lead the development and execution of the company’s technology strategy. Steve joined Bord Gáis Energy in 2015 and has over 20 years’ experience in IT and management consultancy sectors. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

Angela Hoey is Bord Gáis Energy’s HR Director, having joined the company from Centrica Group earlier this year.  She guides the business in strategic people decisions and works closely with the global teams.  She has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Studies from the Glasgow Caledonian University and a post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde.
