Bord Gáis Energy has seven Codes of Practice covering all areas of our service to our customers. 

Our Codes set out the way we carry out our business and the standards of service you can expect from us. Our Customer Charter underpins each of our Codes of Practice and sets out nine guaranteed standards.

Special Services Register

We have a Special Services Register for those who require special services in relation to their gas supply. 

You will need to provide some personal details including your name, account number and status.

We have a Special Services Register who require special services in relation to their electricity.

We have a Priority Services Register for those who are critically dependent on an electricity supply for medical reasons.

Energy Engage

Bord Gáis Energy supports the introduction of Energy Engage. This is a voluntary code of practice aimed at helping customers, and in particular those in arrears, and provide them with the appropriate support they need to manage their energy use and costs. The code sets out how suppliers will work with domestic customers, both in arrears and at risk of disconnection. Its aim is to ensure that domestic customers engage with their supplier and disconnection is therefore avoided.
