Why am I paying a standing charge?

The standing charge covers the costs associated with providing your gas and/or electricity supply. 

The standing charge is an annual charge included in your price plan. This covers the fixed costs associated with providing your gas and electricity supply. An outline of our different standing charges can be found in our Tariffs and Pricespage.
