Dance week

Kicking off week one of our Powering Up the Stage series is Dance week! Here at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, we love all things dance! Since our opening performance in 2010, we’ve welcomed a broad range of styles, dance companies and productions featuring all genres, including Ballet, Tap, Ballroom, Tango, Disco, Hip-Hop, Irish and Contemporary dance and we have witnessed the most amazing displays of beauty, grace, creativity, strength and stamina from some of the world’s greatest dancers and choreographers including Matthew Bourne, Mark Morris and Akram Khan.⠀Dance has the power not only to mesmerize but to catch our breaths and get us all out of our seats. Today we believe this performance will do the same.

We are honoured to Power up The Stage and welcome acclaimed Irish Ballet dancer Gearóid Solan who performs an exclusive character piece for us from “Les Bourgeois” danced to the famous chanson of the same name by Belgian singer Jacques Brel.

It's easy to see why Gearoid has been named ' The Irish Billy Elliot' We hope you enjoy!  #PoweringUpTheStage
