What payment options are available?
There are several ways to pay your bill – direct debit, online payment and more.
Direct debit
This is the easiest and most convenient way to pay your bill. Your bank account will be debited 14 days after your bill is issued for the total amount due. If you’d like to sign up for direct debit, you can do this on your online account.
Alternatively, you can download the gas or electricity direct debit mandate in PDF format. For more information see How do I set up a direct debit?
Please note: if you make a payment between your bill being issued and your direct debit being taken, your direct debit amount will still be taken as normal because we’ve already applied to the bank for the full amount and are unable to change this. In this instance, the payment will be used towards your next bill.
Pay online
If you’ve an online account, sign in to make a payment. We also have a Pay Now option which allows you to make a payment instantly, without signing in.
Please note: if you’ve an active direct debit, your bill amount will be taken automatically by direct debit 14 days after the bill is issued.
Scheduled payments
Scheduled payments allow you to set up a recurring payment on a weekly or monthly basis, in addition to your existing payment method. For example, you can pay €10 a week towards your energy bills, to spread out your costs over time. This money will accumulate in your account and will be used towards your next bill.
You can set up a scheduled payment on your online account. See How do I set up a scheduled payment? for more information.
