What payment options are available to me?

We offer a number of different ways to pay your bill:

Direct Debit: This is the easiest and most convenient way to pay your bill. Your bank account will be debited 14 days after your bill issue date for the total amount due on your bill. If you would like to sign up for Direct Debit, you can do this in your online account. If you do not have an online account, you can register here. Alternatively, you can download the gas or electricity Direct Debit mandate in PDF format. Click here for more information on setting up a Direct Debit.

Level Pay: With Level Pay, we'll take the gas or electricity usage of your home over the last 12 months and apply our current prices to calculate your annual bill. We then simply divide by 12 to create monthly payments which we will take via Direct Debit. Click here to sign up for Level Pay.

Pay online: If you already have an online account, sign in to make a payment on your bill. Alternatively if you do not have an online account, you can simply register. We also have a Pay Now option for non-registered online account customers which allows you to make a payment securely.

Please note: if you have an active Direct Debit, your bill amount will be taken automatically by Direct Debit 14 days after the bill is issued. So, you may not need to make an online payment against your bill. If you still wish to make a payment online even though you have an active Direct Debit, please do so after the Direct Debit has been taken, to avoid duplicate payments.

24-hour telephone payment service: You can call our payment service on 01 611 01 06 to pay with your debit or credit card. Please have your account number to hand.

Online banking: If you're a Bank of Ireland or AIB customer, you can make a payment to Bord Gáis Energy via your online banking account. Contact your bank to arrange this. Please note that customers can no longer make over-the-counter payments in bank branches.

Cash: You can also make a payment at any retail outlet where you see the Payzone or PostPoint sign, or at any Post Office. You can pay your bill in full or make a part payment to a suggested minimum of €20. Please ensure to have your bill with you.
