Discount duration 12 months
After 12 months you'll get a 5% discount each and every year you're with us if you pay by Direct Debit and choose Paperless Billing.
Energy contract duration 12 months
If you leave before the end of the 12 month fixed term contract you may be charged a €50 exit fee.

Features

Receive paperless bills
No more bills in the post! With paperless billing you will reduce your footprint on environment and receive 3% discount on your energy.
Direct Debit payment
This is the easiest and most convenient way to pay your bill. Your bank account will be debited 14 days after your bill issue date for the total amount due on your bill. Payment will be taken for your bill every 2 months by Direct Debit. If you're an existing customer on Level Pay and sign up to a Green and/or Smart plan your level pay will stop. Any balance due will be taken with your next Direct Debit. Any credit will also be taken into account.

With 12 or 24 months Fixed Term contract: discounts are off our electricity and Gas unit rates for 12 months.

After the end of 12 months contract you’ll enjoy 5% discount off electricity only.

You must continue to pay by direct debit and receive paperless bills to continue to receive discounts. (Please note that the Direct Debit payment will be for your full bill amount. If you are an existing Bord Gáis Energy customer and were on Level Pay then this will no longer apply).

An early exit fee of €50 will apply if you leave before the end of your Fixed Term Electricity Contract.

Prices are effective from 1 May 2023 for gas and 1 March 2023 for electricity and are subject to change.

EAB based on standard gas tariff with a discounted unit rate of 12.42c/kWh (inc. VAT), Urban 24 hour electricity tariff with a discounted unit rate of 40.96c/kWh (inc. VAT), an annual electricity standing charge of €281.12 (inc. VAT), a gas annual standing charge of €169.40 (inc. VAT), and average annual consumption of 11,000 kWh in gas and 4200 kWh in electricity.

Estimated Annual Bill

* The Estimated Annual Bill is calculated based on an average annual consumption of 11,000 kWh in gas and 4200 kWh in electricity (as defined by the CRU) and Bord Gáis Energy's standard gas tariff and Bord Gáis Energy’s electricity Urban 24 Hour tariff less any percentage discounts. Your actual rates may differ depending on your meter type. Free offers such as boiler services (where applicable) are NOT included. Microgen export option available
