Important information - If you're an existing customer on Level Pay and sign up to a Green and/or Smart plan your level pay will stop. Any balance due will be taken with your next Direct Debit. Any credit will also be taken into account.


Below Terms and Conditions are valid for all Dual Fuel offers (Green, EV (Electric Vehicle) and Standard)

With 12 or 24 months Fixed Term contract: discounts are off our electricity and Gas unit rates for 12 months.

After the end of 12 months contract you’ll enjoy 5% discount off electricity only.

You must continue to pay by direct debit and receive paperless bills to continue to receive discounts. (Please note that the Direct Debit payment will be for your full bill amount. If you are an existing Bord Gáis Energy customer and were on Level Pay then this will no longer apply).

An early exit fee of €50 will apply if you leave before the end of your Fixed Term Electricity Contract.

Electricity prices are effective from 29 February 2024 and gas prices are effective from 1 May 2024. Prices are subject to change.

EAB based on standard gas tariff with a discounted unit rate of 8.94c/kWh (inc. VAT), Urban 24 hour electricity tariff with a discounted unit rate of 27.85c/kWh (inc. VAT), a gas annual standing charge of €131.69 (inc. VAT), an annual electricity standing charge of €218.55 (inc. VAT), and average annual consumption of 11,000 kWh in gas and 4200 kWh in electricity.

Estimated Annual Bill

* The Estimated Annual Bill is calculated based on an average annual consumption of 11,000 kWh in gas and 4200 kWh in electricity (as defined by the CRU) and Bord Gáis Energy's standard gas tariff and Bord Gáis Energy’s electricity Urban 24 Hour tariff less any percentage discounts. Your actual rates may differ depending on your meter type. Free offers such as boiler services (where applicable) are NOT included. Please refer to Tariffs&Prices page for information on EAB and current rates.

Microgen export option available

Microgen export option is available on plans for qualifying customers who have solar panels installed and have been certified by ESB Networks. Subject to approval. Microgen Export Plan terms and conditions apply.

Welcome Bonus for new Dual Fuel customers

  • Welcome Bonus of €100 is for new Bord Gáis Energy residential customers who successfully signup to the Dual Fuel offer of 24% off electricity and 20% off Gas.
  • Welcome Bonus will be applied as a credit to the customer’s electricity account.
  • €100 credit will be applied to customer’s electricity account after a successful registration and any applicable cooling-off period has passed.  
  • If you sign up in July then the credit will be applied to your account on 1 October.
  • If you sign up in August then the credit will be applied to your account on 1 November.
  • If you sign up in September then the credit will be applied to your account on 1 December.
  • Once the credit has been applied to your account, it will appear on your next bill. 
  • If you are billed prior to your credit being applied or your credit is applied before your direct debit payment is taken (14 days), your Direct Debit payment will be processed and the credit will then come off your next bill.  
  • Customers cannot exchange their bill credit for cash. 
  • Bord Gáis Energy may change or withdraw the terms and conditions of this offer at any time. 

€50 Renewal credit Terms and Conditions

€50 Renewal Credit will be credited to your account approximately 30 days after you’ve accepted your new contract through your online account. If you are billed prior to your credit being applied or your credit is applied before your direct debit payment is taken (14 days), your Direct Debit payment will be processed, and the credit will then come off your next bill. You cannot exchange this bill credit for cash. Bord Gáis Energy may change or withdraw the terms and conditions of this offer at any time. This is a limited time offer until 30 November 2024.
