Green Source Products Verification
Green source products are tariffs guaranteeing the source of electricity to be 100% renewable for customers on these plans. The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) and the Single Electricity Market Operator (SEMO) carry out an annual verification process of suppliers’ green source products to validate their 100% renewable credibility. This confirms that a customer on such a product is using electricity sourced entirely from renewable generation.
In 2024, Bord Gáis Energy was confirmed through the Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD) process as having a 100% renewable fuel mix and therefore were not obliged to complete the GSPV process. Bord Gáis Energy’s overall fuel mix is available below.
