How long does the switching process take?

In most cases, switching to Bord Gáis Energy takes up to 14 days. Your energy supply will not be interrupted during this time. Once your switch is complete, we’ll send you a confirmation email or letter, including our terms and conditions.

If there’s any issue with your switch, we’ll contact you by email or letter to explain what’s happening and what you need to do next.

Why might there be a delay?

• If another energy supplier has recently submitted an application for your supply, this can cause a delay.
• In some cases, we may need to cancel your application if another supplier is already processing a request for your property.
