Boiler Repair and Service

By purchasing the Bord Gáis Energy Repair and Service offer you agree to the terms and conditions set out below (the “Offer Ts & Cs”) as well as to our Gas Boiler Repair Terms and Conditions and to our Complete Boiler Care Terms and Conditions.

Where any conflict or inconsistency arises between these terms and conditions for the purposes of this combined offer, the Offer Ts & Cs will apply. We reserve the right to change any provision of these terms and conditions at our discretion. We will publish details of any changes on the Bord Gáis Energy website at www.bordgaisenergy.ie as soon as is reasonably possible prior to the changes being introduced.

  1. What’s Included in Repair and Service?

When you purchase this combined offer and subject to an assessment that your boiler is suitable for Repair and Complete Boiler Care Service in accordance with our terms and conditions, one of our RGI registered service engineers will:-

a. Repair

visit the property, carry out various tests and checks on the boiler in order to diagnose the fault with it, provide you with a verbal update on the fault with the boiler and the estimated costs involved in repairing the boiler. This may include the costs of providing new parts or components for the boiler, which will be quoted and charged for separately. The service engineer will also provide you with an estimate of the time it will take to repair the boiler. Please be aware that sometimes it may not be possible to carry out the repair during the initial diagnosis visit.

b. Complete Boiler Care Service

carry out our 19-point gas boiler service in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and/or guidelines as laid down in the current edition of the Irish Standard 813. The list of minimum checks and tests the service engineer will carry out on the Boiler is set out in our Complete Boiler Care Terms and Conditions.

Where possible, the Repair and Complete Boiler Care Service will be carried out on the same date but in some cases, the service engineer may have to return at a later date due to the availability of parts required.

Prior to the anniversary of your first boiler service visit, we will send you a notification letter to arrange a time for your next boiler service visit. If you are happy to continue with the Complete Boiler Care Service, and provided your boiler is still deemed suitable by our service engineer, the up to date price for Complete Care Boiler Service will be set out for you at www.bordgais.ie/services.

2. How much does the Repair and Service cost?

The price for this Repair and Complete Boiler Care Service is €189, which is payable in full at the time of booking by debit or credit card. Costs for any additional labour and parts that may be required to repair and/ or replace parts or components will be charged to you separately in accordance with the relevant terms and conditions. The price of this combined offer and all other prices quoted to you are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate from time to time.

3. Complaints Procedure:

If you are unhappy with any service or contact that you have with us, you can register your complaint with us in any of the following ways:

    • calling our customer services on 01 611 01 01;

    • by letter to Customer Care, Bord Gáis Energy, PO Box 10943, Freepost F4062, Dublin 2.

4. Privacy Information

You may be asked to provide us with your email address and certain other personal details to sign up to the Repair and Complete Boiler Care Service offer so that we may confirm your appointment date and time and provide you with a link to access the applicable terms and conditions.

The Privacy Notice does not form part of the contract between you and Bord Gáis Energy.
