How can I view my smart usage online?

If you're on a smart plan, you can see your consumption data on your online account.

To view your smart usage online follow the steps:

  1. Sign in to your online account. Don’t have an account? You can register now.
  2. On the ‘My Accounts’ page, select the account you want to view.
  3. From 'Overview', scroll down until ‘Energy used’ tab.
  4. You can then view your smart usage in the smart usage graph.

Viewing your usage

Interval (half-hourly smart plans)

If you're on a half-hourly (time-of-use) smart plan, you can view your usage by day, week, month, or year.
You can also switch to grid view to see each individual half-hour reading.

After switching to a half-hourly smart plan, it can take up to 10 days for your usage data to display in your online account.

The smart usage graph helps you understand how and when you're using electricity throughout the day.

Non-interval smart plans

If you're on a Smart Standard or any other non-interval smart plan, you can still view your historical usage in the same section of your online account.
These plans do not display half-hourly breakdowns, but you can still see how your usage trends over time.

Please note:

  • Your online usage graphs are for guidance only and are not a replacement for your bill.
  • Usage data is available from the previous day and earlier, but not for the current day.
  • If you want to download your usage data for your own records, see How can I download my usage data?

Additional information

  • Consumption shown in the graphs includes discounts, standing charges and VAT.
  • If you’re on a Smart All Day tariff, the PSO (Public Service Obligation) charge is added on the last day of each month and spread across each half-hour period for that day. Your actual energy use is shown correctly on the graph, but charges on that day will appear higher.
  • If you’re on a free-time smart plan, there is a fair usage limit of 1,200 kWh per year, pro-rated daily. Any usage above this limit during the free period (9am–5pm on your free day) is charged at the day rate on your bill, but will not show separately on the graph.
