How do I ensure my warranty remains active?

To keep your 10 Year Boiler Warranty active, you must have your boiler serviced by Bord Gáis Energy each year of the 10 year warranty.

To ensure your warranty remains active:

  • Your boiler must be serviced every year by Bord Gáis Energy for the full duration of the 10-year warranty. We’ll send you an annual reminder when your service is due.
  • Any boiler repairs during the warranty period must be carried out by Bord Gáis Energy (or someone authorised by us). If another tradesperson services or repairs the boiler without our agreement, the warranty will no longer be valid.
  • All boiler-related payments must be up to date.
  • If the warranty is terminated for breach of contract or becomes inactive for any reason, we will contact you to confirm this.

To check if your boiler is covered under 10 years warranty follow the steps:

  1. Sign in to your online account. Don’t have an account? You can register now.
  2. On 'My accounts' page select your Service account.
  3. If your 10-year boiler warranty is still active, you’ll see the details displayed on the Services card, including the name of your plan and the contract end date.

 Please note:

  • When your 10-year warranty expires (or if it has been ended due to a breach of contract), Bord Gáis Energy will contact you to confirm that it is no longer active.
  • Once the warranty has ended, free repairs, parts and engineer call-out costs are no longer covered. If your boiler breaks down after this point, you can still book a repair through our standard boiler repair services. See gas boiler repair.
