This offer is available exclusively for Money Jar customers only. The sign-up process must be completed through this page online and can't be completed by any other method.
To avail of a smart plan, you'll first need to have a smart meter installed. Once you've a smart meter installed, you can sign up to one of our smart plans that best suits your needs. You'll need to have your MPRN to hand, so we can verify that you've a smart meter and that it has a suitable connection level.
We'll send you an order confirmation by email or post which will confirm what you've ordered and tell you what the next steps are. Once your order has been processed and your account has been created successfully, we'll send you a welcome communication to notify you.
If you're a new or existing customer signing up to one of our smart plans, the process takes up to 14 days. Once successfully completed, you’ll receive our Welcome Pack.
Once your account has been created and is active, you'll receive an email within 14 days which will contain your voucher for 50% off a boiler service. Please click on the link within this email to add the voucher to your online account. Once complete, the boiler service can be booked from within your online account.
If you're an existing Bord Gáis Energy customer and move to a smart tariff, it’s not possible to revert back to a non-smart tariff/old meter type. This is due to industry rules for smart metering.
