Day Ahead Market Prices
These half-hourly prices from the wholesale electricity market (per kWh) are used to calculate the dynamic unit rate on your bill. Prices for the next day are published by 14:00 each day.
Prices are shown from 23:00 on the previous day through to 22:59 on the selected date. This means the first two bars of the graph relate to the previous day, and the remaining bars show prices for the selected date.
Prices below are excluding VAT, and match the SEMO website. Your base unit rate, standing charge, PSO Levy and VAT are not included below, but will be part of your final bill each month.
Use your energy during off-peak hours
Shift your usage
Move high-electricity use (e.g. tumble dryer, washing machine, heaters, electric showers) to cheaper half hours where possible.
Schedule appliances
Use timers or smart plugs to run your appliances during off-peak and night hours, if you can.
Charge your EV overnight
Charge your EV overnight to take advantage of the cheaper night rate.
