Can I change my bill frequency?

Smart customers on a half-hourly plan can choose to be billed monthly, or every two months. 

If you’re on a smart half-hourly plan

You can choose to receive your bill monthly, or every two months. You'll also have the option to select your billing date when you sign up to a smart plan. 

Please note if you pay by direct debit, your account will be debited two weeks after your billing date.

If you’re on a non-smart plan

Unfortunately it’s not possible to change your billing period or billing date if you’re on a non-smart plan.

This is because we rely on Gas Networks Ireland and ESB Networks to provide us with actual and estimated meter reads, and to verify submitted customer reads. Therefore we can’t predict the exact date that we’ll receive a read, or the exact date we can issue your bill.
