How often will I be billed?
You’ll be billed every two months. If you’re on a smart plan, you can choose to be billed monthly.
Paperless: You’ll receive a notification to view your bill on your online account within three days of it being issued. Click here to register for an online account. If you already have an online account, you can turn on paperless billing as your preferred billing method.
Postal: You’ll receive your bill within five days of the date the bill is issued.
The average billing cycle is two months, but in certain circumstances it may be longer. For example, if we haven't received a read from ESB Networks/Gas Networks Ireland for your meter, this can delay your bill being issued. In this instance, your bill may cover a longer period than usual.
Please note that Gas Networks Ireland and ESB Networks are responsible for providing us with actual and estimated reads, and for verifying submitted customer reads.
Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers
Bills are not issued to Pay As You Go customers. However, you'll receive a statement twice a year. PAYG customers with outstanding debt will receive a statement three times a year.
