What does AC Band mean on my gas bill?

Your AC Band shows your estimated annual gas usage and helps ensure your bill is accurate.

Your Annual Consumption Band (AC Band) indicates how much gas you’re expected to use in a year. It’s displayed beside your GPRN on your bill, in the top-right corner. Each band is linked to an estimated annual usage and represented by a letter:

  • A: Less than 6,000 kWh
  • B: 6,000 kWh to 23,500 kWh
  • C: 23,000 kWh to 73,000 kWh
  • Y: 73,000 kWh to 750 MWh
  • Z: 750 MWh to 5,500 MWh

This helps us apply the correct charges and make sure your bill reflects your typical usage.
