Comparison based on cost of charging an EV for 3 hours between 2am and 5am on the Bord Gáis Energy Smart EV Plan at 10.57c/kWh (inc VAT). 3-hour charge would charge up to 21.6 kWh, sufficient for up to 140km of driving based on a typical 60 kWh EV driving up to 6.6 kilometers per kWh (less than 2c per km (inc VAT).
