Can I reduce my Level Pay payments?

Level Pay automatically updates your payment amount based on your energy usage and rates.

Level Pay is designed to ensure your payments are accurate and reflective of your actual energy usage. Manually reducing your payments can disrupt this balance and may lead to higher payments in the future.

Level Pay estimates your annual bill based on your historical consumption and spreads it over 12 payments. Our billing system checks your consumption and current rates before each bill to ensure your payments are accurate.

We also review your account annually to ensure you're paying the correct amount each month. This review considers your current unit rates, energy usage, and account balance. Any excess credit or debit is then spread over the next 12 payments. For more information on Level Pay, see What is Level Pay and how does it work?

After the review, your monthly payment amount may increase or decrease. You'll be notified by SMS if your payment amount is due to increase.

If you have a credit balance exceeding €120, you can request a refund. However, requesting a refund may increase your future monthly payments.

We encourage customers to submit regular meter readings to ensure your consumption is accurately estimated. See How do I submit a reading?
